Meet and pay safely
A practical checklist for inspecting an item and completing a local handover.
Flipns introduces buyers and sellers. It does not process payment for items, hold money in escrow or arrange shipping. You agree the handover and settle directly with each other.
Before travelling
- Keep the conversation in Flipns chat and confirm which item you are meeting to see.
- Agree a busy, well-lit public place and a time that works for both people. Consider taking someone with you for a high-value item.
- Confirm the asking price, what is included and any checks you need to make.
- For a bulky item, agree collection and transport arrangements before anyone travels. Share precise collection details privately only when needed.
If you are buying
Inspect and test the actual item before money moves. Check its condition against the listing and ask about anything that does not match. Do not send an advance, booking amount or delivery charge to someone you have not met.
If you are selling
Confirm that money has arrived by opening your own banking or UPI app before handing over the item. A payment screenshot or a buyer's message is not proof that you have been paid.
Protect your account
Never share an OTP, UPI PIN, banking password or card security details. Do not install a remote-access app because another person asks you to. Be cautious of links claiming you must log in or pay a fee to receive money.
If someone says Flipns is holding payment or guaranteeing a courier, stop and check the official safety guidance.
If something goes wrong
Use report and block, and contact support for account or listing help. For an immediate emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service. Flipns support cannot recover an item payment it did not handle.
The Safety page, Terms and Privacy policy remain the canonical policies.
