Chat and make an offer
Ask about an item, discuss the price and agree the details in Flipns.
Use Flipns chat to ask questions before travelling. Keep a written record of the item, price and collection details you have agreed.
Message a seller
- Open the listing you are interested in.
- Choose the chat or message action and sign in if asked.
- Ask about anything the listing does not explain: availability, faults, accessories, dimensions or a suitable time to inspect it.
- Return to Chat to read replies and continue the conversation.
Do not send an identity document, password, one-time password or banking credentials in chat.
Make an offer
- On an available listing, choose Make an offer.
- Enter the amount you want to offer and check it before sending.
- Watch the conversation for the seller's response. They can accept, decline or counter; read the amount on a counteroffer before responding.
- Once you have agreed a price, arrange inspection and handover directly with the seller.
An accepted offer is a price agreement in chat. It is not a payment, escrow service or delivery booking. Flipns does not collect payment for the item.
If you cannot send a message or offer
Check the message shown in the app and whether the listing is still available. You may need to sign in, finish account setup or use an account in a supported market. A sold or unavailable item may no longer accept contact actions.
If you are having a technical problem, contact support. If a conversation feels suspicious, report or block the person.
Before the handover
Read Meet and pay safely. Inspect the item before paying and confirm receipt of money in your own banking app before handing anything over.
